US cruise ship brings 600 tourists to central region

The luxury US cruise ship Seven Seas Voyager on February 20 anchored at Chan May port in central Thua Thien-Hue province, bringing 600 tourists to world-renowned sites in the central region.

During the journey, the tourists visited the UNESCO-recognised heritage sites of Hue Ancient Capital and Hoi An Ancient Town where they enjoyed special local dishes and Nha Nhac (royal court music) performances.

Gerhard's Odysseys, a tourist from the US, said he is very happy to visit Vietnam, a country with beautiful landscapes and hospitable people.

After visiting central provinces , the ship will leave for Ha Long Bay in the northeastern province of Quang Ninh.

Seven Seas Voyager was the second cruise ship docking at Chan May port during the first ten days of the lunar new year. Earlier, on February 12 or the third day of the first lunar month, the ship Celebrity Millennium from the US brought 2,100 tourists to the port.

This year, Chan May port expects to receive 33 international cruise ships with 38,000 visitors, said Nguyen Huu Tho, Director of the Chan May Port Co., Ltd.
