The Quang Ninh People's Committee has sent a document to relevant agencies requesting the publicizing of real prices of package tours and travel services in the province.
In Document 4807/UBND-TM3, the provincial People's Committee asked the Department of Finance (as the host) to associate with the Department of Taxation, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, localities and relevant agencies to survey the market as the foundation to publicize real prices of package tours and travel services.
The real prices which will be announced by the Department of Finance must be logical and ensure the quality of services. During the implementation period, if there are any changes in the prices, the Department of Finance must associate with relevant agencies to adjust suitably.
In the first eight months this year, Quang Ninh greeted more than 5.7 million tourist arrivals, 77 percent of the year's plan and a year-on-year rise of 12 percent, reported the Department of Planning and Investment. Of this, the number of foreign tourists reached more than 1.6 million, 63 percent of the year's plan.
The province's total tourism revenue posted over VND3 trillion during the Jan-Aug period, 65.4 percent of the year's plan and a year-on-year increase of 15 percent.
