The ninth Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day was opened on November 19 in Hanoi for nationwide localities to share experience in preserving and promoting cultural and natural heritage values.
The event, which will run until November 23, is being held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association, in the theme of “Green Heritage Culture and Tourism Week, rendezvous of human and nature”.
It aims to honour the values of Vietnam ’s unique culture as well as popularise local trade and ecotourism at natural heritage sites, especially those recognised by the UNESCO.
Various activities will be held during the event such as a tea ceremony, art performances and an exhibition highlighting the multicultural identities of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups, the green natural heritages in their material life, and the role of communities in the preservation work.
