This 2nd Ha Long Cherry Blossom Festival aims to introduce the Japanese national flower and culture to Quang Ninh people, at the same time promote tourism potentials and unique culture features of Ha Long and Quang Ninh to Japanese visitors. This is an important cultural activity in the framework of Ha Long Tourism Week 2014.

This year’s festival will be held on a large area with many attractive cultural activities such as the opening ceremony and Viet Nam - Japan art exchange; exhibition and display of cherry blossoms; art exhibition of Japanese culture and some heritage sites in Japan; workshop on tourism cooperation and investment; tours for Japanese delegations to some tourist sites in Quang Ninh... In addition, the organization board will also arrange nearly 40 stalls to introduce tourism products, cuisine, souvenirs of Quang Ninh Province and some localities of Japan.

Ha Long Cherry Blossoms Festival 2014 is the occasion to enhance cultural exchange, friendship cooperation between Quang Ninh and the localities, cultural associations of Japan and also attract Japanese tourists to the new natural wonder of the world - Ha Long Bay, at the same time strengthen investment promotion from Japan.

The opening ceremony of the festival will be held at 8pm on 11 April 2014 in Ha Long Park (Ha Long City). So far, the preparations for the festival were almost completed. Ha Long City is ready to welcome visitors to the cherry blossom festival and explore the famous landscape sites in Quang Ninh Province.
