As many as 350 enterprises from 26 cities and provinces nationwide are taking part in an international trade fair, which opened on April 12, as part of the 2014 Hue Festival in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue.
The fair is also an activity of this year’s national trade promotion programme.
Among 600 pavilions at the fair, there are 50 booths of businesses from regional countries of Thailand, Laos, as well as some business associations of Japan, France, the US and Germany.
During the event, the organising board granted certificates to two specialties of Hue , including “me xung Hue ” ( Hue sesame soft candy) and “tom chua” ( Hue sour shrimp), which were listed in the country’s top 50 special gifts in 2013.
A conference exploring opportunities for enterprises in economic integration and connectivity will also be held as part of the event.
The fair is considered a good chance for businesses to promote their products and services, and seek partners, while contributing to raising public awareness of prioritising Vietnamese products.
Running through April 18, the fair is expected to attract about 100,000 visitors.
