Dak Nong promotes cultural, eco-tourism potentials

(TITC) - Responding to National Tourism Year of Central Highlands – Da Lat 2014, from 21 to 27 July 2014, Dak Nong Province organizes Culture – Tourism Week with the theme “Discovering M’Nong Plateau” to introduce and promote potentials on cultural, spiritual, eco-tourism to visitors.

The event is opportunity for visitors to learn more about culture, history, people of Dak Nong and for the province to attract tourism investment, cooperate to develop tourism products with other provinces, boost development of tourism and society-economy.

The highlight of Dak Nong Culture – Tourism Week is opening ceremony on 23 July in Lieng Nung Park (Gia Nghia Town) with excellent art program attracting participations of 150 artists from 5 villages in Dak Nia Commune, Gia Nghia Town. The art program imbued with traditional cultural identity of ethnic groups in Dak Nong Province such as Ma, M’Nong, E De..., thereby promote culture, people and attractive tourist destinations of the province. At the opening ceremony, visitors also had opportunity to see early season rain festival of M’Nong people in Bu Co Village, Dak R’tih and traditional new rice festival of M’Nong people in Bu Roa Village, Dak N’drung Commune, Dak Song District.

In addition, in the framework of Dak Nong Culture – Tourism Week, the workshop "Linking to develop tourism products and connect tourist routes, sites in Central Highlands” was also held in the provincial conference center on 24 July. The workshop facilitates for tour operators in the province to build tourism programs, link to develop tourism products with other provinces, especially provinces in Central Highlands and Ho Chi Minh City.

To Dak Nong Culture – Tourism Week, visitors have chance to visit and explore typical tourist sites of the province such as Dray Sap, Gia Long waterfalls, Ea Sno Lake (Krong No District); Dak Mil Prison, Ho Tay Tourist Site (Dak Mil District); Nam Nung Cultural Historical – Ecotourism Site, Luu Ly Waterfall, Truc Lam Dao Nguyen Monastery (Dak Song District); Ta Dung Cultural Ecotourism Site (Dak G'long District); Dak G’lun Waterfall Ecotourism Site, Dak BukSo Waterfall, Doan Van Lake and attend traditional festivals of ethnic minority people (Tuy Duc District)...

Dak Nong has temperate climate all year round, sloping terrain creating many majestic waterfalls. Here also gathers more than 40 ethnic groups forming a diversified culture. In particular, many cultural and art features of ethnic minority people have preserved and promoted to create favorable conditions for organizing eco-tours, cultural and spiritual tours. Dak Nong linked closely with Central Highlands provinces and neighbor regions to form tourist routes such as Dak Nong - Da Lat - Ninh Thuan; Dak Nong - Dak Lak - Nha Trang; Dak Nong – Ho Chi Minh City - Binh Thuan. In addition, investment incentives for tourism development of the province also create new breakthroughs for Dak Nong tourism.
