Red River Delta Kite Festival opens in Nam Dinh

The 2013 Red River Delta region Kite Festival opened Nam Dinh province on May 18, as part of the 2013 National Tourism Year Red River Delta - Hai Phong.

The event, which is being held place on the beach in Giao Thuy district, features contests between members of 21 kite clubs from regional cities and provinces including Ha Noi, Thua Thien-Hue, Bac Giang, Vinh Phuc, Ha Nam, and Hai Duong, as well as Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Thai Binh and Nam Dinh.

Dozens of enthusiasts will fly many shapes and sizes of kites featuring designs and symbols from each province during the festival, which run until May 19.
