Traditional Vietnamese play attractive to RoK audience
Update: Aug 13, 2014
The traditional Vietnamese play “Cai lao hoan dong” (rejuvenation), performed by 13 Vietnamese artists, lured audience to the 14th International Performing Arts Festival recently held in the Republic of Korea’s Pohang city.

“Cai lao hoan dong” is a short play directed by Tuan Hai, which tells the story of Dat and Xoan, a couple of poor farmers who avoid the oppression of a cruel mandarin thanks to their ingenuity.

This year’s festival drew the participation of artists from 10 countries. It offered a chance for Vietnamese artists to experience and introduce international friends to the country’s cultural value.

On this occasion, the Viet Nam National Drama Theatre’s delegation also attended an exchange programme with Incheon artists.
