Lao Culture Week in Viet Nam, featuring a series of special performances, will take place from December 2-5 in Ho Chi Minh City, Hau Giang and Vinh Long provinces.
The information was announced by the Performing Arts Organisation Centre under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
As one of activities to mark the 39th anniversary of Lao National Day (December 2), the event aims to promote co-operation in culture and tourism between Viet Nam and Laos while improving the mutual understanding and solidarity between the two peoples.
The week features the participation of artists from Laos National Art Troupe, who offer their traditional dances and songs to praise their country and Viet Nam, as well as the long-standing friendship between the two nations.
Their first performance will take place at Ben Thanh Theatre, Ho Chi Minh City at 8pm on December 2, then Xa No Park, Hau Giang province at 8pm on December 4 and conference room of Vinh Long provincial Party Committee at 7.30 pm on December 5.
