New seafood treats at luxury hotels

A number of luxury hotels in Ho Chi Minh City have put on feasts of Vietnamese and imported seafood for diners in addition to their usual Asian and Western treats.  

Shellfish specialties at The Grill

Guests can savor a wide range of crab, snail, clam, cockle and other shellfish specialties cooked to their favorites of stir-fried, barbecued, steamed and grilled styles at a dinner buffet at The Grill Restaurant of the Duxton Saigon Hotel in HCMC’s District 1 until July 5. The food highlights are poached crab with vinegar chive and young tofu; crab in home-made signature tamarind sauce; roasted babylon snail with chilli sauce; BBQ pan shell with spring onion oil and charcoal grilled Akagai with spring onion oil.

Seafood and sparkling wine at Nikko Saigon

There is a seafood dinner buffet with special sparkling wine for guests at La Brasserie Restaurant on level 2 of the hotel. The Lounge will serve foods and drinks and afternoon tea, accompanied with live entertainment every night except Tuesdays.

In addition, the hotel’s Chinese restaurant Ming Court offers a wide selection of all-you-can-eat Dim Sum and other Chinese foods.

Alaskan king crab at Parkview

There will be a seafood dinner featuring Alaskan king crab, New Zealand mussels, oysters, tiger prawn, tuna and salmon sashimi at Parkview Restaurant on the ground floor of the New World Saigon Hotel from July 17 to 26.
