The Peruvian Cuisine Week in Viet Nam is taking place at the Hilton Hanoi Opera Hotel from July 27-31, as a part of activities to mark the 21st anniversary of Viet Nam - Peru diplomatic relations (1994-2015) and Peru’s Independence Day (July 28).
The information was announced by Peruvian Charge d’affaires Luis Tsuboyama at a press conference in Ha Noi on July 27.
During the week, two chefs from Hilton Lima Hotel in Peru will share their expertise and tips on making traditional foods and dishes. The event offers the Vietnamese people an opportunity to learn about Peru and promote cultural exchanges between the two nations.
Under the framework of the Peruvian Cuisine Week in Viet Nam, a workshop to introduce two Peruvian foods, maca and quinoa, will also be organised at a sideline event, noted Jose Luis, an expert from the Peruvian Ministry of Agriculture.
Addressing the press conference, the Charge d’affaires said bilateral relations between Viet Nam and Peru have developed considerably in politics, economics, investment and trade in recent years.
He also affirmed that Peru would continue creating favourable conditions for Vietnamese businesses to operate in the country.
The event, organised by the Peruvian Embassy in Viet Nam, aims to introduce Peru’s culture and cuisine to more Vietnamese people.
