Ba Ria – Vung Tau welcomes 7 million tourists by mid-year mark
The southern province of Ba Ria – Vung Tau welcomed and served nearly 7 million tourists in the first half of this year, a year-on-year rise of 17%, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Of these, more than 260,000 were foreigners.
Foreign tourist arrivals rising fast
Viet Nam has so far welcomed 3,748,109 foreign tourists in 2014, marking a year-on-year increase of 26.07 percent and fulfilling nearly 47 percent of its target of greeting eight million vacationers by the end of the year.
International visitors to Viet Nam in May estimated 674,204 arrivals, down 9.62% over last month and increase 20.66% over the same period last year. Total international arrivals in 5 months reached 3,748,109, increase 26.07% over the same period last year.
