Members of the Phu Yen Provincial People’s Committee are gambling that their 3-day cultural festival, which gets underway April 28, will attract a larger crowd than it did last year.

Whether they meet their goal remains to be seen, said Phan Dinh Phung, vice chair of the Committee. But with a food festival, sporting events, art performances and a beauty contest planned, he said the event is well worth a visit.
The event running April 28-30 aims to celebrate Viet Nam Reunification Day (April 30).
