A Viet Nam – Japan cultural space is planned to cover multiple areas in Hoi An ancient town in the central province of Quang Nam on November 10 and 11.

Part of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street, Hoi An town,
the main venue of the Viet nam - Japan Cultural Space will take place
The event aims to celebrate 45 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries (September 21, 1973 – 2017).
The space will span across Nguyen Thi Minh Street and areas around Cau Pagoda (Japanese Covered Bridge).
Highlight of the two-day event is a ceremony to receive a red seal ship model as a gift from the Japanese prefecture of Nagasaki.
The model rebuilds the ship once carrying Princess Ngoc Hoa to her husband’s home in Nagasaki. Ngoc Hoa was a princess of the Nguyen Dynasty, who married Araki Sotaro, a Japanese businessman in Hoi An nearly 400 years ago. Their marriage became a symbol of friendship between the two localities and nations.
