More than 100 works of art from Vietnam are on display at an exhibition that opened in Vientiane on Aug. 31, 2009.
The “Charming Vietnam†exhibition displays paintings, photos, and ceramics, as well the traditional Vietnamese long dress, or “ao daiâ€. There is also a display devoted to the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos, helping visitors to better understand the culture and people of Vietnam.
The show is part of a Vietnamese culture week in Laos from Aug. 30 - Sept. 4 as well as part of an annual cooperation programme agreed by the Vietnam Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Lao Ministry of Information and Culture.
