An art exhibition opened in Vientiane, Laos on January 25 to mark the 80th anniversary of the founding day of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3).

On display are 50 selected colour and lacquer paintings and wood-engravings created by Vietnamese painters.
The artworks give visitors a better understanding of the landscape, customs and people of Vietnam, especially the country’s positive changes under the leadership of the Communist Party.
The month-long exhibition is being jointly held by the Vietnam Culture Centre in Laos, Laos’s Ministry of Information and Culture’s Fine Arts Department and Vietnam’s Fine Arts College.
