A painting exhibition by Do Danh Than an overseas Vietnamese living in France opened at the Vietnam Culture Centre in France on November 20.

Although Than has lived away from his homeland for 61 years, the image of Vietnam remain fresh in his mind, so he can produce sketches of daily life such as garden corner, bamboo hedges, areca-nut trees, and village wells.
He is showing wide variety of paintings, aiming to promote his wish to preserve the unique and traditional Vietnamese culture and introduce it to international friends. Through his paintings, he hopes to prove that overseas Vietnamese are always bound to the homeland and strive to build a peaceful and prosperous country.
The event attracted many French visitors as well as overseas Vietnamese living in France.
