Two typical sets of musical instruments restored
Update: Dec 16, 2010
Korean experts will hand over two sets of musical instruments to Thua Thien-Hue Province later this month, having being restored, said Phung Phu, the Director of Hue Ancient Capital Relic Preservation Center.

The two sets of musical instruments are made of both copper and stone, used in Nhã nhạc cung đình Huế (Hue Royal Court Music) performances at solemn offerings under the Nguyen dynasty.

The successful restoration of these typical musical instruments has resulted from years of researching.

The Hue Ancient Capital Relic Preservation Center had sent their staff to China and the Republic of Korea to find ways to restore them, and at last, the Korean Ministry of Culture agreed to work with Vietnamese experts to restore them.

Korean experts will transfer necessary manipulation technology to Vietnam later this month and 25 Korean artists will play the newly-restored instruments on that occasion.
