A meeting was held in Hanoi on January 25 to review activities of National Tourism Year 2010.

The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung, who is also head of the National Steering Committee for the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.
Under the theme “Thang Long-Hanoi-Convergence of 1000 yearsâ€, National Tourism year 2010 offered a good opportunity to promote the image of Hanoi – a city for peace and attract both international and domestic visitors.
Especially, last year, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) recognized doctor steles in Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature) as a World Documentation Heritage, the Thang Long Imperial Citadel as the World Cultural Heritage, and the Giong Festival in Phu Dong and Soc temples as the World Intangible Heritage.
At the meeting, Deputy PM Nguyen Sinh Hung and leaders of the municipal People’s Committee presented the symbolic flag of National Tourism Year 2011 to Le Kim Anh, Vice Chairman of the Phu Yen People’s Committee.
