The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has sent a delegation from the city circus to participate in the 2011 International Summer Circus Festival (Circuba 2011) in Havana, Cuba from August 8-14.
The “Superman Swing†show, which won first prize at the International Summer Circus Festival of Albacete in 2010 and ‘The Power of the Armsâ€, which won a gold medal at the Hanoi International Circus Festival, will be performed at Circuba 2011.
The event represents an opportunity for Vietnamese artists to share experiences in the performance field and organizational aspects of the industry.
This is the first time in 20 years that Vietnam will attend a Circuba festival.
In 2010, Cuban performers attended the Hanoi International Circus Festival and bagged a silver medal.
