The opening ceremony of a picture exhibition themed “Long Bien Bridge – Past and Present†was held at the Exhibition House at 93 Dinh Tien Hoang, Hanoi on December 19th, 2011.

This is a large-scale exhibition and expressed Hanoian painters’ devotion for many generations. For this exhibition, The Hanoi Fine Art Association has organised 5 reality trips which brought the artists to Long Bien Bridge to draw. Each trip had about 10 painters participating.
The exhibition showcased 169 painting works and 2 sculptures about Long Bien Bridge from 111 members from The Hanoi Fine Art Association and 60 young painters.
Picture galleries at 93 Dinh Tien Hoang were full of pictures on Long Bien Bridge.
The content of the exhibition is about Long Bien Bridge in the past and present. Spanning the Red River for more than a hundred years and having withstood several attacks during wartime, Long Bien Bridge has been a testament to the bravery of the Vietnamese people and deserves to be the symbol of Hanoi in the present era of peace and integration.
The exhibition will run until December 29th 2011 at 93 Dinh Tien Hoang and 19 Hang Buom, Hanoi.
