‘Then’, an essential ritual practice in the spiritual life of Tay, Nung and Thai ethnic people in Viet Nam, has been added to the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, announced the Cultural Heritage Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on December 13.
Vietnamese people nationwide held activities in commemoration of the Hung Kings, the legendary founders of the country, on April 25 or the 10th of the third lunar month.
The death anniversary of the Hung Kings and the 2016 Hung Kings Temple Festival will take place from April 12-16 with a string of new activities, said the organising board.
