Visa, the world’s leading digital payment service provider, has reported great pent-up appetite for travel among Vietnamese in its Voice of the Consumer survey, which found that as many as 76 percent of respondents are planning to travel for leisure within the country, far higher than the 38 percent planning overseas trips.
More than 63.4 percent of respondents in a survey conducted by the ASEAN-Japan Centre (AJC) said they want to go to Vietnam for sightseeing, and a high percentage of those who had visited the country (over 70 percent) want to go again.
The Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism and low-cost carrier VietJet Air will receive a delegation of the Republic of Korea (RoK) businesses to study and survey Viet Nam’s tourism from October 25th to 30th.
Both foreign and local travellers involved in a EU-funded survey in Viet Nam say all the destinations they arrive at are environmentally friendly, and visitors respect local cultures and environments.
