This project has profound ideological, political and cultural significance. Further illuminate the moral example and lifestyle of President Ho Chi Minh, serving as a vivid symbol in the ongoing movement to promote the study and following of his thought, morality, and style.

 

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Thanh Trung, Political Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh City Command emphasised that the site is a special red address portraying the deep affection President Ho Chi Minh spent to the beloved southern region, as well as the patriotism and bravery of the southern army and people devoted to him throughout the resistance war.

This cultural space materialises Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016, of the Politburo on promoting the study and following of President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and style. It makes significant contribution to revolutionary tradition education, the cultivation of ethnics and life ideas for today’s and future generations.

 

Covering an area of 240 square metres, the Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space showcases a collection of valuable images and documents that depict key milestones in the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh. At its centre stands a solemn statue of Uncle Ho seated, with reverence and dignity.

The Ho Chi Minh City Command has requested the management board of the Cu Chi Tunnels Historical Site to put the space into operation promptly and effectively. Additionally, they urged the development of appropriate political, educational and communication activities tailored to various audiences - ensuring that the values and legacy of Uncle Ho continue to inspire future generations.
