The country’s largest tray of fruit and cereals was displayed in front of the Temple of Literature in Cao Lanh City in the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap from the first to the third day of the Lunar New Year (February 14 to 16).

The five-fruit tray, which has 5 tonnes of fresh fruit, is 14m wide and 4m high. It is laid by Tran Van Lam, an artisan living in District No 6 in Ho Chi Minh City, after a month of preparation.
In the middle of the tray is a relief of One-Pillar Pagoda made of cereals. On the each side of the relief are two dragons made of arecas, star apples, coconuts, mangoes, mandarins, longans and grapefruits.
In addition, the tray includes parallel sentences for Tet made of fruits and cereals.
