A three-part group exhibition,called Hanoi – The City in Art, by more than 20 Vietnamese and international artists will open at the Goethe Institute in Hanoi on November 25.

The show will feature paintings, engravings, sculptures, photos, videos and installations.
The first part, from November 25 till December 3, presents works by Bui Xuan Phai, Nguyen Bao Toan, Vuong Thao, Brian Ring, Do Phan and Tran Nguyen Hieu. The artists show a nostalgic, utopian, romantic and idealized view of Hanoi.
The second part depicting Hanoi in a state of change will open from December 7 to 13. Artists include Do Minh Tam, Vu Bich Thuy, Nguyen The Son, Vu Dan Tan and Nguyen Nhu Y.
The third part, from December 16-30, presents works by Hamburg photographer André Lützen blurring the border between private and public life in the Vietnamese capital.
