China art club shows traditional paintings

The Chinese artist club in HCMC opened a show of watercolor paintings and calligraphy at the HCMC Fine Arts Association, 218A Pasteur Street in HCMC’s District 3 over the weekend.

The exhibition features more than 50 watercolor paintings with about 10 calligraphy works by famous artists such as Truong Han Minh, Ly Tung Nien, Ly Khac Nhu and Truong Lo, who are masters of traditional Chinese watercolor paintings in Vietnam.

The painting cover a wide spectrum of subjects such as peach blossom, bamboo, flocks of swallows and phoenix. Landscapes include Ha Long Bay, Truong Son Mountain Range and waterfalls.

The exhibition will run till December 10.
