The organising board of the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Art Photograph Festival has just announced the results of the competition entitled “The beauty of Ho Chi Minh Cityâ€. Accordingly, there were 92 works chosen for display, including 11 outstanding works which were awarded.

The Ho Chi Minh City Art Photograph Festival is the photo competition to respond to the campaign “to study and follow Ho Chi Minh’s moral exampleâ€. The event has been organised by the Ho Chi Minh Photography Association, a subsidiary of the Ho Chi Minh City Photographic Artists’ Association. Two months after its launch, the organising board has received 672 colour and black and white photos by 120 different photographers.
After sorting through the entries, the organising board chose 92 works to be put on display, including 11 outstanding works to be awarded. First prize went to “Sai Gon Night†by Vo Quoc Thanh. Joint second prize went to “Learning to swim†by Nguyen Thang and “Keeping the Vietnamese traditions†by Nguyen A. Three third prizes were awarded which went to “Coming over the fate†by Ha Van Dong; “Linh Nga – the pride of Vietnamese dance†by Nguyen Van A and “Happiness†by Tran The Phong.
In addition, the organising board also awarded 5 consolation prizes. The opening and awarding ceremony will be held on the morning of September 1 at Ho Chi Minh Photography Association headquarters.
