Photo exhibition on Vietnam opens in Russia

The opening ceremony of the photo exhibition entitled “The beauty of Vietnam” opened at the State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia in Moscow on the afternoon of September 21 (Hanoi time).

Over 60 colourful photos featuring the beauty of the Vietnamese land and people, as well as the country’s special cultural identities and famous landscapes, will be showcased for visitors.

Attending the ceremony were Vietnam Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh, representatives from the Russian Ministry of Culture, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Pham Thi Ngọc Bich and officers from the Vietnam Embassy.

The photos, along with the exhibits of Vietnamese artists on display, will help visitors understand more about Vietnam and its stunning historical and cultural traditions of thousands of years. The country’s friendliness, hospitality, natural wonders and tropical climate make Vietnam a popular destination for international and Russian tourists.

Miss Maria, a student from the Vietnamese language Department of the Moscow National University attending the exhibition said “I like these photos very much because they show Vietnam’s unique and diverse beauty, and also its traditional culture. I know that Vietnamese food is very delicious and the Vietnamese traditional dress Ao Dai is very beautiful”.

At the ceremony, Minister Hoang Tuan Anh, the representatives from the Russian Ministry of Culture and agencies voted for Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay as a world natural heritage site. Russian attendees highly appreciated the cultural activities, and noted that recently, the strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries has advanced dramatically, especially in terms of cultural cooperation.
