The Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA) and the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) held a press conference on the Vietnam Tourism Awards 2010 which will be presented at a ceremony on October 17 at the Hanoi Opera House. This is the 12th year the awards are presented.

Deputy Director General of the VNAT Nguyen Manh Cuong said the awards are the highest distinction in the tourism sector sponsored by VNAT and VITA. The awards honour travel agencies, hotels and hospitality service providers that have made significant contributions to the Vietnamese tourism industry.
The event is expected to provide an opportunity for businesses in the service and tourism industries to meet and exchange experience.
President of VITA Nguyen Phu Duc said Vietnam Tourism Awards 2010 was expected to seek outstanding tourist business, impulse their efforts, raise value of trade names, and drive force to enhance competition capacity.
The ceremony will honour 50 outstanding travel agencies, hotels and hospitality services providers in the country, including 10 five-star hotels, 10 four-star hotels, 10 three-star hotels, 10 operators of domestic travel business and 10 operators of international travel business.
