On December 26th 2011, the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) welcomed the six-millionth international visitor at Hon Gai Jetty in Ha Long City (Quang Ninh Province). The Viet Nam tourism’s target of welcoming around 5.3 to 5.5 millions international visitors in 2011 has been over-fulfilled.
The six-millionth international visitor to Viet Nam is Mr. Curvalle Francois Bernard, French nationality. This is the first time he and his family have visited Viet Nam with the voyage of Hainan Island (China) - Ha Long Bay – Hue (Viet Nam) by luxury cruise of SuperStar
Aquarius with more than 1,000 tourists and crew members.
Vice Chairwoman of Quang Ninh Province People's Committee Vu Thi Thu Thuy, Deputy Director General of VNAT Nguyen Manh Cuong, Director of Travel Department – VNAT Nguyen Quy Phuong awarded campaign medal, gift and certificate of the six-millionth international visitor to Mr. Curvalle. This lucky guest also received a bonus tour to Da Nang - Hoi An for two people.

The leaders of the VNAT and Quang Ninh Province also awarded campaign medals, gifts for the 5,999,999th visitor, Ms. Dongmai Zhang, Chinese nationality and the 6,000,001th visitor, Mr. Tjaij, Indonesian nationality.
At the ceremony welcoming the six-millionth visitor, all visitors in the SuperStar Aquarius Cruise were enjoyed the traditional art performance of Popular Opera Troupe of Quang Ninh Province.
This event is positive news for Viet Nam and Ha Long where has been recognized twice as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site for its breathtaking landscape and geographical value and also as one of the world's new seven natural wonders.
