Nearly 4.4 million tourists have arrived in Hanoi so far this year, an increase of 28% compared to the same period last year, according to the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

International travelers accounted for 570,000 visitors, a year-on-year increase of 20%.
The positive growth is attributed to improvements in the city’s tourism environment, infrastructure and services, with a focus on features that are unique to Hanoi.
The city has created a plan to develop the Thang Long Citadel, the Saint Giong festival, the Ba Vi tourism area, and Dong Ngac village, in addition to exploiting its intangible cultural heritage, to offer more diverse tourism products and attract more tourists to Hanoi.
Tourism in the capital will also be promoted to foreigners through the International Tourism Fair and the 11th meeting of the Council for the Promotion of Tourism in Asia (CPTA) scheduled in Hanoi later this year.
