A festival commemorating the legendary Hung Kings’ teaching of rice cultivation to people was held in Minh Nong ward of Viet Tri city in the northern midland province of Phu Tho on March 2 (the 15th day of the first lunar month).
The annual pilgrimage festival honouring the Vietnamese people’s ancestors, the Hung Kings, will be held in the northern province of Phu Tho between April 21 and 25.
Saigon Café Restaurant on level 1 will offer a special buffet night to celebrate the death anniversary of Hung Kings on Thursday, April 6 (or the tenth day of third lunar month).
President Truong Tan Sang attended an incense offering held at the Hung Kings Temple complex site in Phu Tho province on April 28 (the tenth day of the third lunar month) to pay tribute to Hung Kings, the legendary founders of Van Lang – the first State in Viet Nam’s history.
This year's Hung Kings' Temple Festival in Phu Tho Province will be a special event as it will honor and receive world intangible cultural heritage certification.
