A photo exhibition on Viet Nam’s tourism before the country opened its door to the world opened on November 22 at the Viet Nam House in Paris, giving French viewers a rare bit of insight into the lives of Vietnamese people in the 1980s.
Cha Ca La Vong (fried fish), Bun Cha Hang Manh (rice noodle with grilled pork), Banh Duc Le Ngoc Han (cake made from ground rice and peanuts) and Banh Cuon Hang Ga (steamed rice pancakes rolled with pork and mushroom) are just a few of the well-known dishes in Ha Noi’s Old Quarter district.
Six more streets in Hanoi’s Old Quarter have been pedestrianised every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6pm to 11pm.
