The Novotel Phu Quoc Resort has announced that the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) had recognized the facilities and services of the resort on Phu Quoc Island off Kien Giang Province as meeting five-star standards.
Four hotels in Viet Nam have won this year’s coveted Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards, with the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi and the Park Hyatt Saigon making it to the top three in the “Top Hotels in Southern Asia.”

A direct air route was launched on July 6 connecting the southern resort island of Phu Quoc in the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang with China’s Guangzhou.
Wax figures of King Bao Dai and Queen Nam Phuong, the last royal family of Viet Nam, will go on display on September 19 at the Summer Palace Museum where they lived from 1949-1955 in the resort city of Da Lat.
The Ha Noi Department of Tourism recently held seminars in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang highlighting the city’s tourism opportunities and educating the staff of some 100 local travel agencies on the ‘Magic of Ha Noi’.
