(TITC) – On 22 January 2016, the 15th Meeting of ASEAN Tourism Ministers Plus Three (China, Japan, Korea) was organized in Manila, Philippines in the framework of ASEAN Tourism Forum 2016.

The three countries of China, Japan and Korea have been engaging in ASEAN Tourism activities mainly by technical supports through ASEAN-China Centre, ASEAN-Japan Centre and ASEAN-Korea Centre, which included training courses of tourism promotion, tourism products development, exchange programs... organized in ASEAN Member States and their partner states.
At the meeting, Secretary-General of ASEAN Le Luong Minh informed the outcomes of tourism cooperation which was discussed at the 18th ASEAN Plus Three Summit Meeting held on 21 November 2015, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and the ASEAN Plus One Summit.
Philippines, chairing the meeting, reported the implementation progress of ASEAN Plus Three Tourism Cooperation since the 14th Meeting of ASEAN Tourism Ministers Plus Three, mentioning Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) on ASEAN Plus Three Tourism Cooperation; ASEAN Plus Three Tourism Cooperation Work Plan (2013-2017); Statistic data of international visitors to ASEAN Plus Three in 2014 and 2015.
A Joint Declaration of the 15th Meeting of ASEAN Tourism Ministers Plus Three was released after the Meeting.
