In recent years, tourism products associated with healthcare in Da Nang have begun to receive investment and attention, creating highlights for tourists.
Notable are activities at the Tak Ngo Ginseng Garden and some ginseng gardens in Nam Tra My, plus wellness experiences such as herbal foot baths, physical therapy, meditation and yoga in Hoi An and coastal accommodation facilities.
Additionally, the Nui Than Tai Hot Springs Park, located in the Ba Na - Nui Chua Conservation Area, offers onsen bathing, mud baths and spa services. The venue is considered an ideal natural foundation for wellness packages focusing on mineral baths and light physical therapy.
Meanwhile, the Tra Que Vegetable Village in Hoi An Tay Ward is regarded as a "herbal barn", currently having many tourism models that combine herbal foot bath, acupressure and herbal tea experiences, suitable for restorative activities.
Moreover, the village was recently honoured by UN Tourism as one of the “Best Tourism Villages in the World”, further enhancing the brand value of herbal-based wellness products.
Along with that, Nam Tra My which is home to the symbolic Ngoc Linh ginseng, presents great potential. Through annual ginseng festivals and markets, the commune is opening up more opportunities to develop herbal experience tours such as visits to ginseng gardens, learning about extraction processes, and exploring local culture.

A representative of the Da Nang Traditional Medicine Hospital said that medical tourism based on traditional medicine has the opportunity to become a distinctive tourism product in the city.
The main reason is thought to be that the attractive, unique, original elements as well as the natural tourism resources and cultural values of traditional medicine not only meet visitors’ needs for exploration and wellness but also stand out for their uniqueness and creativity compared to mainstream tourism products.
With abundant local resources and strategic investment, traditional medicine-based health tourism could become a sustainable driving force for Da Nang’s tourism industry.
