The 2026 New Year Festival will feature numerous cultural, artistic, entertainment and experiential activities, contributing to creating a joyful and vibrant atmosphere in the city and attracting both locals and visitors.

These events will take place continuously for 5 days in the city center, along both banks of the Han River, and at the An Hoi Sculpture Park in Hoi An Ward, the Tam Thanh Beach Square in Quang Phu Ward, the March 24 Square in Ban Thach Ward, as well as beaches and tourist attractions across the city.

The highlight of this year's festival will be a network of "Welcome 2026" check-in spaces, with 4 installation art models at the eastern and western ends of the Dragon Bridge, the An Hoi Sculpture Park and March 24 Square. Additionally, five seaside check-in installation spaces will be set up at the East Sea Park in An Hai Ward, and on beaches of Ha Khe, Tam Thanh, Cua Dai and An Bang.

Ahead of the festival, accommodation facilities, service providers, and tourist attractions are also encouraged to decorate according to their own themes to create a synchronous festive atmosphere throughout the city.

The 2026 New Year Festival will be officially launched on the evening of December 30 with an opening ceremony and art performances at a public park on the eastern end of the Dragon Bridge.

Also at the same venue, from December 30, 2025, to January 3, 2026, the “Cheer Fest - Connecting Joy” culinary space will showcase many food, beverage and Tet gift stalls, promising to bring many interesting experiences to local people and tourists.

From December 31, 2025, to January 3, 2026, a series of activities "Da Nang - Welcome 2026" will be held along the Bach Dang Walking Street, with three main spaces called “New Year Dance 2026”, “Creative New Year 2026” and the “Connection Square”, offering experiential activities, and street performances.

Notably, the New Year Countdown Concert will take place on the evening of December 31, 2025, at the East Sea Park. It promises to be full of excitement with the participation of famous artists, music bands and DJs, plus an amazing fireworks display.

Moreover, three major art programs will be organized, including “Harmonic Radiance” at the Tam Thanh Beach Square; “Hoi An - Welcome 2026” at the An Hoi Sculpture Park, running until 12:30 am on January 1; and “Da Nang Concert 2026 - The Endless Flow” at the Da Nang Museum on the evening of January 1.

On the morning of January 1, 2026, the city will host the “New Dawn" race with the route starting from the Tien Son Sports Arena and finishing at the Bach Dang Walking Street. The purpose of the race is to create a vibrant atmosphere at the beginning of the year and encourage community fitness.

Also on the morning of the same day, the city’s tourism sector will welcome first visitors of 2026 at Da Nang International Airport, Da Nang Railway Station, Tien Sa Port and Hoi An Port with greeting ceremonies, gifts and festival information.

In parallel with the New Year celebration activities, travel businesses will introduce two promotional combo tours tailored for the holiday season. The tour packages are designed in conjunction with the art programs of the Da Nang New Year Festival 2026, helping tourists relax and participate in cultural, artistic and entertainment events.

Furthermore, in response to the festival, in December 2025, Da Nang will roll out several shopping stimulation programs throughout December 2025, including the national promotion campaign “Vietnam Grand Sale 2025”, the branded shopping event “Mega Sale Holiday Da Nang 2025”, and the "Trust in Vietnamese goods - Made in Da Nang" product exhibition.
