10,000 flower garlands released for Tet
Update: Jan 24, 2011
Ten thousand flower garlands will be released to pray for national peace and happiness on Lunar New Year’s Eve (February 2) in the program “ Sparkling Tay Ho – Wishing flower garlands” to be held at the Tay Ho Lake Water Park in Hanoi.

There is also an exhibition of lanterns by Vietnamese and Chinese artisans at the lake from January 22 to February 7. Along with the exhibition, a rock show by students from universities and colleges was held on January 22. Children can have fun with dragon and lion dance shows, and meet cartoon characters such as Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Sonic Cat and see roadshows like Ali Baba and 40 thieves, and Snow White and the seven Dwarfs.

From February 3 to 8 at the park, there will be a food fair featuring Vietnamese food, calligraphy shows and folk games for visitors to join.

All the proceeds from selling garlands will be donated to children with congenital heart disease.
