An exhibition, entitled “Hanoi Portraitâ€, opened at 31A Van Mieu, Hanoi, on April 1 displaying 131 works by 58 Vietnamese and four American artists.

The event provided an excellent opportunity for famous artists in Vietnam and abroad to exchange information and share views on the art of drawing portraits.
The works on show are made of diverse different materials including lacquer, bronze and ceramics, and they feature the beauty of Vietnamese people and landscape.
Visitors to the exhibition, which lasts until April 10, can watch artists drawing portraits for sale. Money collected from the exhibition will be donated to victims of the powerful earth quake that hit Japan on March 11.
